From downtown Cairo, it takes about 30 minutes to walk to the Church of the Virgin Mary in Old Coptic Cairo. The church can be found right in the middle of Coptic Cairo.
Since the 10th century, not much has changed in this church, and this small Christian town hasn’t changed much at all.

The nave is suspended above a hallway that runs through the middle of the building. This passageway was built on top of a Roman gate called Babylon that was used for defense.
The Coptic Museum is to the south of the Hanging Church in Cairo. The place is known for its 13 massive columns, and these pillars are a way to remember Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples.
At the event, people could see an actual Egyptian artifact and hear the Coptic language used in ancient Egyptian liturgies.
